Praise Yahweh – Psalm 150
Here is the end of the Psalms. God’s people sing about God and to God. Song and verse are the creative expression of our love for Him. Beware the religion that does not sing.
Praise the LORD!
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD! (Psalm 150 ESV)
Everyone and every living thing should praise Yahweh in heaven and in earth with every musical means possible for His powerful actions in the world and for His majestic character, that is, for what He does and who He is. The book of Psalms ends with a reminder of what we are here for, to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
